7-Eleven names Mauricio Leyva CEO

IRVING, Texas — Seven & i Holdings Co. has appointed Mauricio Leyva as chief executive officer of 7-Eleven Inc., effective August 1.

Leyva will lead the North American convenience store business as it works to improve the customer experience, strengthen its store network, advance operational excellence and innovation, and drive sustainable growth.

He brings more than 25 years of experience leading consumer businesses across North America, Latin America, Europe and Africa. Leyva most recently served as group president of Keurig Dr Pepper, where he helped lead the beverage company’s post-merger integration and business transformation.

Before joining Keurig Dr Pepper, Leyva served as CEO of Grupo LALA and held senior leadership roles at Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller. He also served as CEO of Grupo Modelo, where he built and expanded Modelorama, one of Mexico’s largest convenience store chains.

Leyva will work with 7-Eleven’s leadership team, franchise owners, and associates as the company advances the North Star transformation program. The retailer is also preparing to celebrate the 7-Eleven brand’s 100th anniversary in 2027.
