7-Eleven releases 2024 Impact Report

Under the theme “Good Made Easy,” the report outlines key milestones across three core pillars: People, Planet, and Products.

IRVING, Texas – 7-Eleven, Inc. has published its 2024 Impact Report, highlighting the company’s ongoing efforts to drive sustainability, support local communities, and promote responsible consumption. Under the theme “Good Made Easy,” the report outlines key milestones across three core pillars: People, Planet, and Products.

“We care deeply about the communities we serve – and where we live and work,” said Marissa Jarratt, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer at 7-Eleven, Inc. “Our strategic approach to being a good neighbor to all, ‘Good Made Easy’ defines how we make meaningful contributions to a more sustainable and socially responsible future while also strengthening our business resilience.”

PEOPLE: Strengthening Communities Through Service

7-Eleven continues to invest in grassroots initiatives and nationwide partnerships that make a difference in local communities. A standout example from 2024 is the company’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign, which raised over $17 million to support 112 children’s hospitals nationwide. A highlight of the campaign was an exclusive Slurpee Day cup designed by eight-year-old CMN champion Nolan, whose story inspired customers nationwide.

PLANET: Advancing Environmental Stewardship

The company reaffirmed its commitment to reducing its carbon emissions by 50% by 2030 (vs. 2013 levels) as part of the Green Challenge 2050 from parent company Seven & i Holdings Co., Ltd. A key driver of this effort is the Energy Management System (EMS)—a smart tech platform used to optimize energy use across store operations.

PRODUCTS: Innovating for Responsible Consumption

7-Eleven is also rethinking its product packaging and sourcing practices. In 2024, the brand redesigned its bottles for its proprietary 7-Select Replenish hydration beverages, resulting in an annual reduction of 104 metric tons of plastic waste. The more efficient packaging also enabled a 25% reduction in transport-related emissions by optimizing pallet loads and reducing the frequency of shipping.

“We are focused on driving positive change for the people we serve and the planet we share. By measuring and reporting on our progress, we can celebrate our achievements and identify opportunities for further improvement,” Jarratt continues. “The collaboration between 7-Eleven, Inc. Franchise Owners, customers and business partners is essential to help us achieve a more sustainable and socially responsible future.”

The 2024 Impact Report highlights the collaborative efforts of 7-Eleven franchisees, employees, customers, and business partners in building a more inclusive, environmentally conscious, and community-focused future.
