Ahold Delhaize names Tim Bork Chief Commercial Officer for Europe & Indonesia

ZAANDAM, Netherlands — Ahold Delhaize has named Tim Bork chief commercial officer (CCO) for its Europe & Indonesia division. The appointment is effective immediately and marks the creation of a new executive role within the retail giant.

Bork will report directly to Claude Sarrailh, CEO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia, and will be tasked with leading the company’s commercial strategy and value chain development across the region.

A German national, Bork brings more than two decades of experience in international food retail, most recently serving as Chief Customer and Purchasing Officer and Board Member at LIDL International. During his tenure at LIDL, he led global food procurement for both private label and branded products, managed e-commerce operations in six countries, and oversaw key functions including marketing, customer experience, loyalty programs, and quality management.

Bork began his career in purchasing and rose through the ranks to become a divisional board member responsible for sourcing private label products across more than 30 countries. His most recent portfolio at LIDL included supplier and commodity management, inbound logistics, and purchasing administration.

In his new role at Ahold Delhaize, Bork will be responsible for enabling consistent European-driven procurement and the development of private label strategies rooted in data and analytics. He will work closely with brand commercial teams to streamline operations in key commercial areas, reduce costs, and leverage the company’s global scale to enhance efficiency.
