SALISBURY, N.C.Ahold Delhaize USA has appointed Jason Wilson its new Chief Financial Officer. The company calls him a longtime internal leader with deep industry experience who will guide the financial strategy of the company’s expansive U.S. grocery operations.

Wilson steps into the role at a pivotal time for Ahold Delhaize USA, which is executing its “Growing Together” strategy and eyeing continued omnichannel expansion through 2028. As CFO, he will oversee financial operations across the company’s portfolio of grocery brands, which includes Food Lion, The GIANT Company, Giant Food, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.

“After more than a decade driving remarkable results at Food Lion, I’m excited to welcome Jason to our U.S. leadership team,” said JJ Fleeman, CEO of Ahold Delhaize USA. “Jason has extensive industry experience and is a proven leader, who I am confident will advance our finance organization and provide strong support and partnership to each of our U.S. businesses.”

Wilson most recently served as senior vice president of finance at Food Lion, where he led all financial activities and helped drive 50 consecutive quarters of positive comparable sales. Under his leadership, Food Lion pursued growth initiatives including strategic acquisitions, new store openings, and remodels across its 10-state footprint, while maintaining a focus on delivering value to customers.

“It is an honor to take on this role and contribute to the growth of our businesses,” Wilson said in a statement. “I look forward to working alongside the team to drive critical priorities and support our Growing Together strategy through strong financial controls and investments.”

A North Carolina native, Wilson began his career with Ahold Delhaize USA’s predecessor companies in 2000 and has held a variety of leadership roles in business development, finance, strategy, and category management. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Catawba College and an MBA from Pfeiffer University and will remain based at the company’s headquarters in Salisbury, N.C.

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of Netherlands-based Ahold Delhaize, is the largest grocery retail group on the East Coast and the fourth largest in the U.S., serving millions of customers each week through both in-store and digital channels.
