BATAVIA, Ill. — Aldi is expanding its meal solutions lineup with the launch of its first-ever collection of ready-made meals, offering shoppers convenient, fresh options for lunch and dinner at value-driven prices.
Rolling out in select markets beginning in October, the new assortment includes both single-serve and family-size meals made with ingredients such as chicken breast, smoked beef brisket and real cheeses. The meals are designed to deliver restaurant-quality flavor, generous portions and convenience for consumers seeking quick meal solutions.
The launch comes as convenience remains a key purchasing factor for many consumers. Aldi said the new meals are prepared fresh and feature made-from-scratch sauces, with single-serve options containing 30 to 46 grams of protein and family-size meals providing 16 to 22 grams per serving.
Pricing is aimed at affordability, with single-serve meals retailing for less than $8 and family-size meals priced under $15.
“We tested hundreds of recipes as we developed this collection, with quality as our top standard from the very beginning,” said Terry Jackson, head of food at Kitchen Food Company, an Aldi supplier of ready-made meals. “We want every meal to hit the mark on bold flavor and stand out ingredients, so even when time is short, shoppers can still look forward to what’s on the table.”
Joan Kavanaugh, vice president of national buying for Aldi U.S., said the retailer developed the collection to meet growing demand for convenient meal options without sacrificing quality or value.
The ready-made meal lineup includes five single-serve offerings: Beef Bolognese Spaghetti, Beef Brisket with White Mac & Cheese, Butter Chicken & Rice, Chicken Burrito Bowl and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo.
Family-size options include Chicken and Bacon Mac n’ Cheese and Meat Lovers Pizza Bake.
The meals will debut in select Aldi markets in early October, with additional markets added throughout the fall. The full collection is expected to be available nationwide by January 2027. Aldi also plans to introduce new ready-made meal offerings through its Aldi Finds program each month over the next year.
