ALDI opens first Las Vegas stores

ALDI welcomed shoppers in true Las Vegas style by handing out commemorative quarter-sized ALDI poker chips to unlock the grocer’s signature carts.

LAS VEGAS – ALDI, the fastest-growing grocery chain in the United States, has officially entered the Las Vegas market with the grand opening of its first two stores in Southern Nevada. Located at 621 Marks Street in Henderson and 2106 W. Craig Road in North Las Vegas, the new locations mark a key expansion in ALDI’s nationwide growth strategy and a significant milestone for value-conscious shoppers in the West.

Known for its famously low prices, ALDI promises to bring significant savings to local families. According to the retailer, a typical family of four can save nearly $4,000 annually by switching to ALDI, which consistently offers the lowest prices of any national grocer.

“Shoppers shouldn’t have to compromise on quality to save money, and at ALDI, they don’t have to. We’ve built our reputation on delivering real value without cutting corners,” said Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI. “With 25% of U.S. households and counting trusting our products and low prices, we’re growing rapidly from coast-to-coast. Opening stores in Las Vegas gives us the opportunity for continued growth in this exciting market and allows us to bring an affordable and fun grocery experience to shoppers nationwide.”

To celebrate the Las Vegas debut, ALDI embraced local flair by handing out custom poker chip-inspired quarter tokens to unlock their iconic shopping carts and welcoming shoppers to a “High Savers Room” in Henderson. The one-day-only experience featured interactive product comparisons, ALDI-exclusive items tastings, and branded Las Vegas-themed merchandise giveaways.

As part of its five-year growth plan, ALDI aims to open more than 225 new stores in 2025 and reach 800 additional locations by the end of 2028. The Las Vegas launch also includes a major marketing push: ALDI has teamed up with delivery partner DoorDash to spotlight the milestone on the dazzling Exosphere of the Sphere, visible through April 30.

"At our new Las Vegas-area ALDI stores, shoppers will find that every decision we make, from our product selection to store layout, is to provide our customers with the best products at the lowest possible prices of any national grocer," said Shawn Eddy, regional vice president for ALDI. "Our customers can save up to 36% on an average household’s shopping list*. As shoppers look for better ways to stretch their dollar, ALDI is providing the Las Vegas area with easier access to quality groceries at affordable prices.”

ALDI’s Western expansion continues next month with a third Las Vegas-area store opening at 7150 S. Rainbow Boulevard on Thursday, May 15, at 8 am. A fourth location is expected by the end of the year.
