NEW YORK — Shoppers at ALDI’s Jamaica and Corona locations will soon be able to pick up more than just groceries.

Starting Friday, June 13, ALDI will introduce beer, cider, and ready-to-drink cocktails at more than 30 locations citywide, including two Queens stores: 92-29 168th Street in Jamaica and 61-11 Junction Boulevard in Corona. The move marks the first time ALDI will offer alcoholic beverages in its New York City stores.

The debut lineup includes ALDI’s own private-label brands, featuring fruit-forward and seasonal flavors such as Wernesgruner Lemon Radler, Wicked Grove Blueberry Cider, Locken’s Tropical Pineapple Kölsch, Limaveza Lime Lager, and the All Play Margarita Variety Pack. All items are priced under $15, underscoring ALDI’s value-first approach.

The expansion aligns ALDI’s NYC stores with its locations in other states, where adult beverages have long been part of its offerings. The rollout complies with New York State laws that allow grocery stores to sell beer, cider, and certain pre-mixed beverages while restricting the sale of full-strength wine and liquor.

Since entering the New York market in 2011, the chain has built a strong local following with its no-frills shopping model and competitive pricing.

Additional NYC locations are expected to begin selling alcoholic beverages later this summer, though a complete list has yet to be announced.
