Amanda Nusz leads strategic initiatives in the essentials and beauty categories to drive growth and innovation. 

Her drive to embrace new challenges and broaden her expertise has contributed to success in various high-profile, high-impact positions over more than a quarter-century at Target. She has spent much of her time at the retailer building brands and developing strategies to increase revenue, while leading a high-performing team-centered culture.

Nusz has said she measures success by the positive impact her work has on others.

Prior to her current position, Nusz held roles in human resources and merchandising across multiple categories, including health and beauty, baby essentials, kids’, and women’s apparel. She has also contributed to community initiatives through organizations like The Link, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit that works with youth and families to overcome the impacts of poverty and social injustice.

Nusz has served Target in roles including vice president of quality and responsible sourcing, where she ensured that vendors and suppliers operate in safe, ethical and efficient factory environments and produce high-quality, sustainable safe products. She also served as president of the Target Foundation, and led Target Forward, the company’s sustainability strategy. And she played an integral role developing Cat & Jack, Target’s multibillion-dollar kids’ apparel and accessories brand.

Nusz earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, and she joined Target while attending college.
