Amazon and Winn-Dixie expand grocery delivery to more Florida homes

Thousands of fresh groceries and household essentials now available for convenient delivery in the Greater Tampa Bay area

TAMPA, Fla.  – Amazon and Winn-Dixie announced this week the expansion of their grocery delivery collaboration on Amazon.com to additional communities across Florida—including the Greater Tampa Bay area—giving even more customers access to high-quality groceries and household essentials through a shared commitment to providing choice, value and convenience.

Winn-Dixie grocery delivery by Amazon is now available to customers in Hillsborough, Pasco, North Pinellas, Polk, Manatee and Sarasota counties, including Tampa, Brandon, Plant City, Tarpon Springs, Port Richey, Lakeland, Bradenton, Sarasota and surrounding communities.

This expansion makes it easier for customers to get Winn-Dixie groceries delivered, whether they live nearby or across town from their nearest store. In addition to Amazon’s wide selection of everyday household essentials, customers in participating areas can shop more than 15,000 Winn-Dixie grocery items on Amazon—including fresh produce, quality meats, private-label brands, local favorites and specialty items—all delivered directly to their doorsteps.

Gayle Shields, Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer for The Winn-Dixie Company, said, “Our continued partnership brings together Winn-Dixie’s trusted neighborhood stores—known for low prices, fresh quality groceries and trusted Own Brand products—with Amazon’s unmatched delivery experience. Expanding grocery delivery across Tampa Bay and beyond makes it easier for customers to shop Winn-Dixie online, whether they live around the corner or miles from the nearest store. Together, we’re bringing Winn-Dixie’s deals and everyday essentials to more doorsteps, so families can spend less time running errands and more time enjoying the moments that matter.”

Following a successful launch in Jacksonville and Orlando last year, the service has grown to include nearly 100 cities and towns across Florida and southern Georgia. This multi-phase expansion now serves areas including Tampa Bay, Orlando, Jacksonville, Sarasota–Bradenton, Destin–Fort Walton Beach, West Palm Beach and Valdosta through participating Winn-Dixie stores with Amazon’s fast, flexible delivery.

Sophie Turrell, Director, U.S. Grocery Partnerships at Amazon, added, “We’re always looking for ways to make grocery shopping easier and more convenient, and this expansion is a great example of that. By partnering with a trusted local grocer like Winn-Dixie, we’re giving customers across Florida and southern Georgia more choice and flexibility—whether they’re shopping for fresh produce for tonight’s dinner or stocking up on groceries and household essentials for the week—all with the fast, reliable delivery they expect from Amazon.”

Prime members can receive $15 off orders of $75 or more when shopping Winn-Dixie on Amazon with code WDSPRING15 through April 14. For a limited time, both Prime members and non-Prime customers can also enjoy free delivery on Winn-Dixie orders over $25 with convenient two-hour delivery windows. In addition, Winn-Dixie Rewards members can link their Rewards account to their Amazon account to earn Rewards value on eligible purchases, which can be redeemed for dollars off future in-store purchases at Winn-Dixie.
