SEATTLE – Amazon has introduced Amazon Autos, a new service enabling customers in 48 U.S. cities to purchase Hyundai vehicles online through participating local dealers. Shoppers can browse available models, secure financing, trade-in existing vehicles, and schedule pickup—all within Amazon’s platform.

Amazon Autos offers a streamlined shopping experience. Customers can search for Hyundai models by make, trim, color, and features. They can also receive trade-in valuations by providing details about their current vehicle. The trade-in value is applied directly toward the purchase of a new car.

After selecting a vehicle, shoppers can arrange financing or pay in full online. Finalizing the purchase includes e-signing the required documents and scheduling a pickup at the local dealership.

The service benefits participating dealerships by offering an additional sales channel. Steven Suh, general sales manager at South Bay Hyundai, noted that listing inventory on Amazon allows dealers to reach a broader customer base while offering transparent pricing. “Customers come in excited to pick up their cars, enabling us to build long-term relationships,” he said.

While Hyundai is currently the only brand available, Amazon plans to expand the service in 2024 by adding more manufacturers, cities, and features such as leasing and extended financing options.

Amazon Autos combines familiar shopping features such as customer reviews and transparent pricing to make car shopping more accessible and straightforward.

Participating Cities Include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Seattle. The complete list is available on the Amazon website.
