SEATTLE — Amazon is offering a $25 Thanksgiving meal featuring an 8-pound turkey, side dishes and dessert ingredients. The deal combines holiday savings with same-day delivery as the company works to capture a larger share of consumers’ grocery spending.
The package is available through Nov. 26, while supplies last, in more than 2,300 U.S. cities and towns where Amazon offers same-day fresh-grocery delivery. Amazon said the offer includes free same-day delivery on orders of $25 or more, so customers can receive their holiday groceries within hours.
The promotion brings together national brands and Amazon Grocery’s private-label products, allowing shoppers to add household supplies and other items to a single order.
“Customers love the convenience of getting everything they need for the holidays delivered so they can come together with family and friends,” said Jason Buechel, vice president of Amazon Worldwide Grocery Stores and chief executive officer of Whole Foods Market. “Amazon makes it even easier for customers to put a delicious meal on the table.”
The meal includes a frozen Butterball turkey, Ocean Spray cranberry sauce, McCormick turkey gravy mix, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Stove Top stuffing, Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup, French’s Crispy Fried Onions, and Nestlé Carnation Evaporated Milk.
Amazon Grocery products round out the package with a 5-pound bag of russet potatoes, canned corn and green beans, carrots, crescent rolls, pie crusts, and organic pumpkin puree.
Amazon is also offering frozen turkeys for 79 cents per pound or less through Nov. 26, and fresh turkeys for 99 cents per pound or less from Nov. 14 through Nov. 26. Other promotions include Thanksgiving staples for under $4, 40% off charcuterie and party snacks through Nov. 14, and 40% off prepared side dishes from Nov. 15 through Thanksgiving.
Additional discounts are available on select disposable tableware, baking supplies, and food storage products. The company said that qualifying government-assistance recipients and income-verified customers can save 15% to 20% on select groceries and everyday essentials through Amazon Access.
The holiday push comes as Amazon expands the selection of products available through its same-day grocery service. The company said it has added more than 6,000 items in the past six months, including fresh produce, pantry staples and products from hundreds of new brands.
The selection includes private-label products from Amazon Grocery and 365 by Whole Foods Market, alongside national brands such as Pillsbury and Birds Eye. Amazon said its Amazon Grocery and Amazon Saver brands offer more than 1,200 products combined, with the vast majority priced below $5.
Fresh food has become an increasingly important part of the service. Amazon says fresh groceries made up all 10 of its best-selling same-day delivery items last quarter. Bananas, grapes, blueberries, eggs, and chicken are among its fastest-selling products.
Amazon said its same-day fulfillment centers stock tens of thousands of grocery and household essentials. Customers can add those to millions of other eligible items, making the service useful not just for food shopping but also for holiday preparations and entertaining.
Amazon is also offering Prime members a seasonal fuel benefit: 20 cents off per gallon on one fuel purchase every Friday through Jan. 29 at participating stations—twice the program’s standard 10-cent discount.
