Amazon recognized as one of LinkedIn's top U.S. companies for 2025

LinkedIn cites Amazon's emphasis on skills training and growth opportunities as key factors in its continued recognition.

April 8, 2025 — Amazon has been named to LinkedIn's Top Companies list for the eighth consecutive year, securing the No. 2 spot for 2025. This annual ranking highlights the most sought-after workplaces in the United States. LinkedIn cites Amazon's emphasis on skills training and growth opportunities as key factors in its continued recognition.

Ofori Agboka, Amazon's Vice President of People, Experience & Technology for Global Operations, expressed appreciation for the honor:

“At Amazon, our work begins with building outstanding, safe, innovative, inclusive and engaged teams—investing in our teammates and working together to get better every day,” said Ofori Agboka, Amazon’s vice president of People, Experience & Technology for Global Operations. “Achieving this recognition is both humbling and motivating, and it reminds us of the progress we’ve made and the exciting opportunity we still have ahead as we work to deliver the future together.”

Amazon continues to prioritize the professional growth of its workforce through various initiatives:

  • Career Choice Program: Since 2019, over 350,000 U.S. employees have participated in Amazon's free education and skills training programs. In 2024 alone, more than 100,000 employees engaged in these opportunities, which include pathways to associate and bachelor's degrees, high school completion, GED programs, and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) proficiency.
  • AWS Training Commitments: Amazon Web Services (AWS) has invested significantly in providing free cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) skills training. By December 2020, Amazon had committed to training 29 million individuals globally by 2025 and surpassed this goal, reaching over 31 million learners. Building on this success, the company pledged in 2023 to offer free AI skills training to two million people worldwide by 2025, a target also achieved ahead of time.

Beyond educational opportunities, Amazon offers a robust benefits package to its employees, including:

  • Competitive pay
  • Health insurance
  • Disability insurance
  • Retirement savings plans
  • Company stock options
  • Up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave

Innovative programs such as Leave Share and Ramp Back provide additional flexibility for new parents, allowing them to share paid leave with a spouse or adjust their return-to-work schedules.
