WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Amy Wadstrom is president of Vivid Clear Rx, a pass-through pharmacy benefit manager created by Hy-Vee in 2020. According to Wadstrom, Vivid Clear Rx was created to disrupt the industry by giving employers greater transparency into their overall pharmacy benefit spending.
“Employers and employees deserve to have a PBM that provides amazing service, is transparent with their costs, and has a member-first mentality when making decisions,” comments Wadstrom, who was named president last year and has helped lead the company from the beginning.
Wadstrom first joined Hy-Vee in 1996 after graduating from Drake University and held several positions within Hy-Vee’s pharmacy operations including as a registered pharmacist, pharmacy manager and pharmacy supervisor. She’s also led clinical initiatives as well as education and training programs.
Since its founding, Vivid Clear Rx has maintained one of the highest net promoter scores in the industry for the exceptional service it provides to its members and clients. The PBM serves members nationwide and has seen major growth over the past year as it continues to add more covered lives.
In 2024, Vivid Clear Rx partnered with the Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs Co. to provide low-cost online prescriptions to members as part of its mission to bring more price transparency to the pharmacy industry. Wadstrom and her team have also been intently focused on delivering measurable savings and results to employer groups through claim-level data and reporting.
