DALLAS — The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is putting more flavor on the front line with a new online restaurant and food hub, launched as a destination for military members and their families to procure dining options and better-for-you choices.
The hub highlights 1,500 of the Exchange’s restaurants, Expresses, and 24/7 self-service stores supporting nutritional readiness with meals, snacks and beverages, according to a press release announcing the launch.
Hub visitors can learn about promotions on BE FIT-approved snacks, meals and beverages, discounts on restaurant entrees, and tax-free savings.
“The Exchange’s restaurants, self-service stores and Expresses all have one purpose — to keep members of the military community fueled for the next mission,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor.
The hub also spotlights the Exchange’s school meal program, which serves 3.6 million nutritious breakfast and lunches each year. Additionally, members of the military community can keep current with food news, including recent stories from on grand openings, healthier options and other dining initiatives available to the community.
The Exchange is a retail and service organization serving the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Space Force communities. Established in 1895, it operates about 4,900 facilities worldwide, including main post exchanges, convenience stores, military clothing stores, restaurants, theaters, gas stations, and specialty retail outlets. The National Retail Federation lists the Exchange as the nation’s 51st-largest retailer, generating about $8.6 billion in annual sales, mostly in the United States.
