Brookshire names Jerry LeClair new CEO

LeClair has been with the retailer since 2019 and has served as interim CEO since February following the retirement of longtime executive Brad Brookshire

TYLER, Texas – Jerry LeClair has been officially appointed CEO of Brookshire Grocery Company, the company announced Monday. LeClair, a longtime grocery industry executive, has been with the retailer since 2019 and has served as interim CEO since February following the retirement of longtime executive Brad Brookshire.

LeClair started his career as a courtesy clerk and went on to hold leadership roles at Giant Eagle, Harris Teeter and Albertsons before joining Brookshire. He succeeds Brookshire on a permanent basis after leading the company in an interim capacity for the past six months.

He began his tenure with BGC as executive vice president and chief merchant officer before being promoted to chief operating officer in 2025. During his time at BGC, he has overseen company retail operations, including marketing and logistics.
