NASHVILLE — The Business Group on Health has recognized 53 companies with its prestigious Best Employers Award: Excellence in Health & Well-being, highlighting their outstanding commitment to fostering employee wellness through innovative and comprehensive programs.
Announced during the organization’s 2025 Annual Conference in Nashville, the awards celebrate companies across diverse industries and geographies that have demonstrated leadership in promoting workplace physical, mental, and social well-being.

“Each of the employers recognized by the Business Group goes above and beyond to offer their workforces extensive and forward-thinking benefits and programs,” said Ellen Kelsay, president and CEO of Business Group on Health. “Their pioneering strategies have tackled some of the most pressing health and well-being challenges facing today’s workforce.”
Now in its 20th year, the award evaluates applicants based on leadership and culture, holistic well-being (including mental and financial health, social connectedness, flexibility and job satisfaction), employee engagement, health equity, and measurable outcomes.
Ten companies were additionally recognized for Excellence in Mental Health, having demonstrated significant year-over-year improvements and a holistic approach to supporting the mental health continuum. Twelve were honored for Excellence in Health Inclusion, recognizing efforts to close health disparities and expand access to inclusive programs. Another twelve received accolades for Excellence in Global Health & Well-being, showcasing their ability to meet the needs of a globally distributed workforce.
“The 2025 awardees provide a valuable blueprint for other employers wishing to expand their health and well-being offerings,” said Pamela Rich, Business Group vice president. “We salute all the honorees for their achievements.”
Award applicants do not need to be Business Group members. Submissions are reviewed by a panel of peer employer judges and Business Group experts. Applications for the 2026 awards will open in fall 2025.
