“Our goal is to get Target back to growth by giving our guests the kind of experience they can’t find anywhere else. We’re leaning into the very best of Target. And that starts with our merchandising authority — making sharper assortment decisions, delivering a distinctive food proposition, offering clear authority in style-led categories and partnering with our stores on setting higher standards of execution. 2026 will be a year of big, focused change for Target, and our guests will see it across every touchpoint with our brand,” she points out.

Since joining Target in 2007, Sylvester has consistently translated emerging digital trends and consumer expectations into cohesive strategies at the enterprise level.

As chief guest experience officer, she led the transformation of Target’s omnichannel shopping experience by fully integrating stores, digital, generative AI, and social media and marketing capabilities. Under Sylvester’s leadership, Roundel grew into a multibillion-dollar retail media business and one of Target’s most significant profit contributors. Her track record includes revamping Target’s loyalty program, Target Circle; growing and scaling industry-leading, same-day services; and quadrupling the size of third-party marketplace Target+.
