FRANKLIN, Wis. — Carma Laboratories Inc., maker of Carmex lip balm products, announced today the appointment of Keith Edgett as vice president of research and development.

Edgett, who joined the company in January, has 25 years of experience in research and development, including a stint at EOS Products LLC, where he led the design, start-up and staffing of a research and development facility establishing internal product development capabilities. He also directed innovation and product development at Kimberly-Clark Health Care.

"I am very pleased to be joining Carma Labs as a member of the leadership team," Edgett said. "Carma has been, and continues to be, a leading lip balm innovator for over seven decades. I am looking forward to working alongside a close-knit, passionate team to build new brand categories, launch groundbreaking products and maximize overall brand development."

Edgett graduated from Ramapo College in New Jersey with Bachelor of Science degrees in chemistry and biology. He also studied business at Long Island University.
