ANKENY, Iowa — Casey’s, the nation’s third-largest convenience store retailer and fifth-largest pizza chain, has partnered with K9s For Warriors, the country’s leading provider of trained service dogs for military veterans living with PTSD, traumatic brain injury and other invisible wounds of war.
As part of the partnership, Casey’s funded the training of a future service dog appropriately named Casey. She is scheduled to graduate with her veteran warrior in San Antonio this October.

Founded in 2011, K9s For Warriors has matched more than 1,100 veterans with service dogs, many of them rescues, making it the largest rescue-to-service dog program in the country. The nonprofit aims to end veteran suicide, with approximately 20 veterans taking their lives each day in the U.S.

Casey’s, which operates more than 2,900 stores across 19 states, has a longstanding tradition of supporting military families and community needs. In fiscal year 2025, the company donated $6.6 million to local causes, including direct assistance to more than 2,000 military families.
