NEW YORK — In February, L’Oréal Groupe appointed Christina (Tina) Fair president of the consumer products division for North America. She succeeds Nathalie Gerschtein in the role of managing a beauty brands portfolio that includes L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York, Garnier, Essie and NYX Professional Makeup.
Fair’s career at L’Oréal began in 2008 with leadership positions within the U.S. consumer products division. In 2020, she was named president of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) in the North America Zone, overseeing brands including CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, SkinCeuticals, Skinbetter Science and Vichy. The division notched impressive growth during her tenure, in large part via the positioning of its science-driven brands at the nexus of health and beauty care. Under Fair’s leadership, the division’s brands and products became the top recommendation among dermatologists, pediatricians and pharmacists.
Fair also served as a member of the management committee at L’Oréal USA, the largest subsidiary of Paris-based L’Oréal.
“I have seen Tina step change every business she has run, as we have witnessed with the dermatological beauty division under Tina’s leadership,” David Greenberg, chief executive officer of L’Oréal USA and president of the North America Zone, said in announcing Fair’s latest promotion. “Her strategic vision, bold decision making and entrepreneurial mindset position her and the division for continued success.”
Fair is well equipped to lead the business. After working in the financial sector, she took a job at Avon in 2000.
After joining L’Oréal USA, Fair held positions including vice president of global marketing for SkinCeuticals, a leading skin care brand for medical professionals. She also spearheaded SkinCeuticals’ expansion into medical devices with the introduction of CryoCorrect, as well as personalization services with Custom D.O.S.E.
