DALLAS — Circle K has become the first major convenience retailer in Texas to sell hemp-derived THC beverages, introducing VARIN at dozens of franchise locations throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
The launch signifies a significant expansion of functional and alcohol-alternative beverages in the c-store channel, as retailers respond to rising consumer demand for lower-sugar, non-alcoholic options with experiential benefits. VARIN’s products are formulated with hemp-derived THC, CBDV, and select nootropics, providing what the company describes as a controlled, predictable experience that is legally accessible outside of dispensaries.

“Putting VARIN in the cold box at Circle K makes choosing that kind of experience as easy as grabbing your favorite beverage,” said Tyler Marshall, CEO and co-founder of VARIN. The brand combines hemp-derived THC with ingredients such as L-theanine, lion’s mane, theobromine and vitamin B-12 to deliver what it positions as “jitter-free” energy without sugar, caffeine or calories.
Consumers can choose between 10-milligram and 30-milligram THC options across four flavors: Appleberry Rosehip, Blue Razz Bombsicle, Pink Strawburst, and Coconut Wave. Select Circle K stores will also host in-store tastings multiple times per week through 2026.
VARIN was named Most Innovative Beverage of 2025 by Food & Beverage Magazine. The products are produced using federally compliant, hemp-derived cannabinoids under the 2018 Farm Bill framework.
For Circle K, the move underscores the chain’s strategy of expanding “better-for-you” and premium beverage offerings to reflect evolving consumer preferences, particularly as interest in alcohol alternatives continues to rise.
