Coca-Cola previews new flavors coming in 2027

Beverage giant uses 2026 NACS show to announce new ways to refresh, hydrate and recharge.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The Coca-Cola Co used this week’s National Association of Convenience Stores show here to preview additions to its beverage lineup that will debut in 2027. The planned introductions include two fruit-flavored colas: Coca-Cola Cherry Lime, scheduled to debut in February, and Coca-Cola Strawberry Float, which will premiere next summer.

Other introductions span hydration, protein and flavor, the company said, including, vitaminwater zero sugar formula 100, new POWERADE Zero Sugar flavors, Core Power Banana and new offerings from Topo Chico.

Beverages getting fruit-flavored updates include a new “Mr. Pibb Black-Current” offering, and Powerade introductions with watermelon and lemon-lime zero-sugar options.

Topo Chico is extending its existing lineup of fruity carbonated mineral waters with the launch of a pineapple-coconut flavor in February. The beverage will join the brand’s existing lineup that includes raspberry with lemon, tropical mango, and passionfruit drinks. Topo Chico Colección this month is introducing a premium carbonated filtered water with minerals added for flavor.

“What people want from their beverages continues to evolve, from new flavors and experiences to added functionality,” said Shakir Moin, president of marketing, North America. “The breadth of our portfolio gives us an incredible opportunity to meet those changing needs and give people more choices for more moments throughout their day.”

Regional pilot of prebiotic soft drinks starts this month

Coca‑Cola is also conducting a regional prebiotic test-and-learn featuring Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fresca, each formulated with 6 grams of prebiotic fiber and zero sugar. The pilot will be available on a limited basis across parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania beginning this month.

Additions to the BODYARMOR FIT line will take sports hydration “beyond the workout,” with a sparkling, zero sugar format with 290 mg of electrolytes and 60 mg of caffeine, along with choline and green tea extract.

Coca-Cola's fairlife brand is responding to growing demand for protein with a portfolio expansion that includes Core Power Banana protein shakes, coming in January in 26g protein and 42g protein options. It’s the brand’s first new flavor in almost a decade. A 26g protein variety of Core Power Strawberry will also join the lineup.

“For us, innovation starts with the consumer,” said Shakir. “It’s about understanding what people are looking for, where their interests are going and then using the strength of our brands to create something relevant and compelling. That’s how we continue to learn, evolve and bring new choices to consumers.”
