Constructor recognized for 'AI-driven innovation'

Honored by the American Business Awards as "retail company of the year."

SAN FRANCISCO — For the second consecutive year, Constructor was named the American Business Awards gold winner as "retail company of the year."

Contractor – an AI-powered search and product discovery platform for ecommerce companies – was praised by judges for the “staggering” results achieved by its clients.

Judges bestowing the honor also praised Contractor for its “AI-driven innovations,” its “unmatched [customer] retention,” and for its “exceptional growth metrics,” the company said in a press release.

“AI is fundamentally changing how people discover and buy products online. Our goal is to help retailers stay ahead of that shift by better understanding shopper intent and responding in real time,” Eli Finkelshteyn, Constructor’s co-founder and CEO, said in the statement. “Being recognized again by the American Business Awards is especially meaningful because it reflects the real impact our customers are seeing with Constructor’s solutions.”

Constructor also received recognition for its contributions to agentic commerce; its AI Product Insights Agent earned silver for best “new product: electronic commerce solution.”

The agent, unveiled last year, is an interactive Q&A tool on retailers’ product detail pages, where shoppers evaluate items and make decisions. The AI-powered product insights agent functions as a virtual product expert, answering shoppers’ “last-mile” questions to give them confidence in their purchases and help retailers mesurably increase their add-to-cart and purchase rates.

This is the third consecutive year Constructor has been honored in the American Business Awards, with the company having racked up five Stevie awards through the program. The American Business Awards are the premier business awards program for organizations operating in the United States,  according to the press release, and all organizations operating within the country are eligible to submit nominations.

More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie award winners, evaluating more than 3,700 nominations.
