WASHINGTON—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) announced on Thursday the launch of WellComms, the conference for marketing and communications professionals in wellness industries.
WellComms will feature top subject matter experts, increase attendees’ practical knowledge, and provide opportunities to deepen interpersonal connections with industry decision-makers.
“CRN has its finger on the pulse of the wellness industry’s needs,” said Brian Wommack, CRN’s senior vice president of communications. “Marketing and communications professionals from top companies in the dietary supplement, nutritional ingredient, and consumer packaged goods spaces are seeking inspiration and solutions to help them amp up staff bandwidth, generate sales, and drive growth—while being asked to do more with fewer resources. That’s where WellComms comes in.”
A virtual experience for 2021, WellComms features six sessions over two days, Wednesday, June 16 and Thursday, June 17. Previously available only to CRN members, WellComms debuts in 2021 with both a new name and an expanded mission to provide a forward-thinking conference experience for all professional marketers and communicators who work for wellness brands, from dietary supplements to essential oils to sports nutrition and beyond.
In a February 2021 CRN survey of industry marketing and communications professionals, respondents reported the biggest challenges they face in their work right now include workload and staffing issues, a need for best practices education in media outreach, balancing stakeholder communications overload, and a desire to understand emerging trends in a post-COVID-19 marketplace. “We clearly identified unmet needs among decision-makers in the larger wellness industry,” said Kendall Ridley, CRN’s senior director of communications. “WellComms will bring value to these key players, the professionals who shape the consumer brand experience and drive sales.”
This year’s WellComms session topics include emerging trends in the business of wellness, getting your team to work smarter, not harder, and “The Situation Room”—a 100% interactive session that solves attendees’ workplace dramas in real time.
The WellComms early-bird registration rate is available through May 17; CRN members receive special pricing. Group registrations are encouraged with additional price incentives.
