WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Caremark Corp. has named Stephen Gold to the position of chief information officer, effective July 9. He is responsible for bringing new and differentiating technology solutions to the company’s retail and pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business.
CVS Caremark Corp. has named Stephen Gold to the position of chief information officer, effective July 9. He is responsible for bringing new and differentiating technology solutions to the company’s retail and pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business.
Gold has more than 30 years experience in designing and implementing large-scale technology initiatives in the PBM, e-commerce and retail industries. Before joining CVS he was CIO at Avaya Inc. and prior to that was CIO and chief technology officer for GSI Commerce Inc., an e-commerce solutions provider. Gold also served for more than 12 years in various IT positions with Merck & Co. and Medco Health Solutions.
