WOONSOCKET, R.I. — Scott Baker and Mike Bloom have been named executive vice presidents at CVS Caremark Corp.

Baker was promoted to executive vice president of internal operations and real estate. He continues to be responsible for store and retail pharmacy operations, new retail location development and facilities management. Baker had been senior vice president of internal operations and real estate.
Among those reporting to Baker is Charley Golden, who has been promoted to senior vice president of construction and facilities management. He is responsible for all construction, repairs and maintenance at CVS’ more than 7,500 retail buildings.
Bloom was promoted to executive vice president of merchandising and supply chain. He will lead an integrated end-to-end network, managing store layout as well as the selection, purchasing, inventory and supply of products to stores.
Bloom had been senior vice president of merchandising and supply chain.
Reporting to Bloom are vice presidents and merchandise managers Cheryl Mahoney, Grant Pill, Judy Sansone and Jim Trappani. The executives in charge of innovation and store design, logistics, merchandising analysis and inventory replenishment also report to Bloom.
CVS Caremark also promoted Beth Wingate to senior vice president of payer relations. Wingate is responsible for negotiating rates with insurers and oversees the reimbursement audit function.
Baker, Bloom and Wingate all report to Larry Merlo, president of CVS/pharmacy.
