Deborah Dixon

Majority Owner, Precious Mineralz LLC.

Deborah Dixon has nearly four decades of technical and management experience in research and development and commercialization with a Fortune 500 company, small businesses and start-ups working across the food, medical devices, diagnostics and consumer categories. She is majority owner of Precious Mineralz LLC, a skin care company that uses a rare natural material mined in Utah to deliver skin care in a new way. The mining company selectively mines a nanotubular kaolin clay called halloysite that is processed and used in formulations for skin care products for men and women. The mine is under the same ownership as Precious Mineralz.

“Our products are safe, effective, clean, vegan, cruelty free, and all containers are recyclable,” she says. “We are purpose driven and believe in giving back to our community. We help fight homelessness and hunger for people and animals.” 

While much of the development was protected as trade secret, Dixon holds a key patent in the food safety area and has authored publications in peer reviewed journals and textbooks.

She earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Lafayette College, a master’s in biology (immunology) from The American University, and a PhD in microbiology from Rutgers. She also earned a certificate in human resources management from the University of Utah and a certificate in technology management leadership development from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She has always enjoyed working with interdisciplinary teams and implementing best practices within the organizations.
