Continuing to expand its product assortment, Dollar General Corp. has introduced a new line of private brand socks.
The deep discount retailer said Thursday that the new Bobbie Brooks socks for women and girls and Open Trails socks for men and boys, produced by Gildan Activewear, are available now at all stores.
Dollar General noted that the new line, designed to offer comfort, fit and affordability, broadens its offering of high-quality apparel basics.
"Dollar General is excited to bring this new line of socks to our customers," chief merchandising officer Todd Vasos said in a statement. "We’ve listened to what our customers want in the fit, style and value of socks. Together with Gildan, we’ve created a line of socks that our customers will feel good about purchasing, due to their minimal impact on the environment, as well as a product they will love to wear. These socks are one of the many ways Dollar General is improving high-quality apparel basics and making them affordable for everyone."
The Bobbie Brooks and Open Trails socks sport a cotton blend with a smooth toe seam and soft-cushioned sole. They are available in white and in a variety of colors and silhouettes — including crew, ankle, low-cut and no-show styles for women and girls, and in crew, ankle and no-show styles offered in black and white for men and boys. Open Trails also includes a line of men’s work wear socks that are heavyweight and made of soft, ring-spun cotton. Dollar General added that both sock brands will carry the Cotton USA logo.
