GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General is giving customers more reasons to celebrate this holiday season, with new promotions across both its toy aisles and grocery shelves aimed at helping families save while checking every item off their wish lists.
The retailer has rolled out its annual Holiday Toy Book, now available in stores and online, featuring a wide array of affordable and exclusive toys. At the same time, Dollar General is introducing bundled food offers and price reductions across more than a dozen categories, including holiday staples and baking essentials.
Dollar General is positioning itself as a one-stop destination for affordable holiday gifts with a promotion that gives shoppers 25% off when they spend $75 or more on toys in a single transaction, including clearance items.
“At Dollar General, we know how important it is for families to find joy during the holidays,” said Steve O’Brien, vice president, division merchandise manager of toys, stationery, lawn and garden, sundries and hardware. “Our Jolly Good Deals and wide selection of toys—from trusted brands to exclusive finds—make it easy for customers to check off every wish list while staying within budget.”
The company’s toy selection includes popular characters and brands priced at $20 and under, such as Disney’s Stitch, Bluey, Star Wars, Marvel’s Spidey and Friends, and Barbie. For younger children, DG offers educational toysfrom Fisher-Price, Melissa & Doug, and vtech, including several Dollar General exclusives like magnetic fishing sets and stacking towers.
Other top-selling brands—Pokémon, Hot Wheels, LEGO, Baby Alive, Play-Doh, and Squishmallows—round out the assortment, alongside playsets, doll accessories, and stocking stuffers. Gift cards for Apple, Meta Quest, Fortnite, and other popular digital platforms are also available in stores.
With its growing delivery network through DG Delivery, DoorDash, and Uber Eats, the company is emphasizing both value and convenience as key drivers of its holiday strategy.
In a parallel effort to stretch household budgets, Dollar General has also launched recipe-centric meal bundles and baking promotions timed to coincide with the peak holiday shopping period.

Running through late December, DG’s holiday food campaign features bundled offers on traditional recipes such as sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie. Among the featured deals:
- Buy Bruce’s Yams and Clover Valley Light Brown Sugar, get Jet-Puffed Marshmallows free.
- Buy Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup and French’s Crispy Fried Onions, get Clover Valley Green Beans free.
- Buy Keebler Ready Crust and Nestlé Carnation Evaporated Milk, get Clover Valley Pumpkin free.
Additional discounts will roll out across major food brands including Heinz, Betty Crocker, Kraft-Heinz, Hershey’s, and Eagle Brand, with limited-time mix-and-match offers and bundled savings on popular baking ingredients.
From November 9 through December 24, Dollar General will also offer a $5 discount when shoppers spend $15 on select holiday baking and food items—an incentive that stacks with other product-level discounts for even greater savings.
The twin promotions underscore Dollar General’s continued effort to serve as a convenient, affordable destination for holiday shopping, both for gifts and for family meals. With more than 20,000 stores nationwide and expanding digital delivery options, the retailer is leaning on its scale and value positioning to attract budget-conscious consumers during the peak shopping season.
