Dollar General Corp. is offering a 10% discount on toy purchases of $100 or more during the holiday season.
The dollar store chain said Friday that the discount will be in effect through Dec. 24 at all of its 9,600 locations, which cover 36 states.
Dollar General reported that this season, its toy department "is overflowing with a variety of new toys at great prices for children of all ages." The retailer said more than 300 toys are priced at $5 or less, including art, games, activity sets, plush animals, licensed toys and more.
The chain added that as longtime supporters of local toy drives, it will also host in-store toy drives to benefit children in the communities the retailer serves.
"The bulk toy discount was created to assist nonprofit organizations with their holiday toy drives," Todd Vasos, Dollar General’s chief merchandising officer, said in a statement. "We are happy to offer this discount to help organizations stretch their dollars this holiday season and help more children have a happy holiday."
