GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — As the holiday season approaches, Dollar General is ramping up its efforts to help customers save time and money by launching its DG Deal Days sales events. Starting on Halloween, the discount retailer will offer storewide savings on more than 6,000 items through December 21, providing deep discounts on everything from holiday décor to home essentials, pantry staples, toys, and appliances.

The DG Deal Days promotions will take place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, offering customers substantial savings with discounts ranging from 25% to 50%, alongside buy-one-get-one (BOGO) offers on various products. These promotions are in addition to Dollar General’s everyday low prices, which include over 2,000 items priced at $1 or less, and its popular weekly $5 off $25 deal on Saturdays. Shoppers will also have the opportunity to stack deals for even greater savings, creating an attractive option for budget-conscious holiday shoppers.

"As shoppers seek more ways to save this season, we are pleased to offer savings on thousands of items including everyday essentials, home décor must-haves, and the things you need to trim your tree or wrap a gift," said Emily Taylor, Dollar General's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer. "Whether it’s holiday decorations, food for your family gatherings, or gifts, DG is here for what matters, saving customers time and money for a stress-free and festive season."

To kick off DG Deal Days from October 31 to November 2, shoppers will find discounts on a range of home and holiday products. Key promotions include:

  • 50% off kitchenware like dinnerware, flatware sets, and serving trays
  • BOGO 50% off select toys and holiday candles
  • 50% off ornaments and select Comfort Bay® blankets and throws
  • 2-for-$1 on Clover Valley® canned vegetables
  • 10% off select gift cards, including Uber® and Krispy Kreme®

Additional deals will roll out weekly, providing shoppers new reasons to visit Dollar General stores regularly throughout the holiday season.

For even more ways to save, Dollar General encourages customers to sign up for a free myDG account, which grants access to exclusive digital coupons, cashback opportunities, and more. Shoppers can also use the DG app to pre-plan their trips, build shopping lists, and clip digital coupons, making holiday shopping more convenient and budget-friendly.

With approximately 80% of Dollar General’s 20,000+ stores serving communities of 20,000 people or fewer, the company is committed to making the holidays affordable and accessible for everyone. Dollar General has also introduced a holiday toy guide, featuring low-cost options from national brands and offering 25% off toys with a $75 purchase, with nearly every toy priced under $20.

In addition to its holiday sales, Dollar General is continuing its long-standing tradition of giving back. The company will participate in charitable initiatives like the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Thanks and Giving® campaign and toy drives benefiting organizations such as the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. The company also hosts local giving programs, including Santa’s Workshop and the Angel Tree program for children and families in need at its Goodlettsville headquarters.
