CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Dollar Tree has solidified its leadership with the appointment of Michael Creedon, Jr. as its permanent chief executive officer.
Creedon, who has served as interim CEO since November, joined the company in 2022 as Chief Operating Officer and now leads a retail giant of more than 200,000 associates and over 16,000 stores under the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar banners.
“Following a search, we are unanimous as a Board in our belief that Mike is the right leader for Dollar Tree,” said Edward (Ned) J. Creedon brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously held executive positions at Advance Auto Parts, Tyco International, and ADT Security. With a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Middlebury College, he is also actively engaged in the Hampton Roads community as a board member of the Chrysler Museum and a trustee of Norfolk Academy.
“It’s a privilege to lead Dollar Tree at such a pivotal time,” said Creedon. “I am thrilled and humbled to step into this role, focused on delivering long-term value for associates, customers, and shareholders as we unlock the enterprise’s full potential.”
With his proven track record and clear vision for the future, Creedon’s appointment marks a new chapter of growth and operational excellence for Dollar Tree, the company said.
