NEW YORK — SKIMS has partnered with DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery from its U.S. retail stores, expanding the apparel brand’s reach via the delivery platform.
SKIMS is DoorDash’s first retail partner, offering a product assortment spanning undergarments, everyday apparel and outerwear. Consumers can shop more than 23,000 SKIMS styles, including shapewear, underwear and loungewear, with orders delivered in under an hour on average.
DoorDash is SKIMS’ first on-demand delivery partner.
“Our focus has always been on understanding what our customers need and finding better ways to serve them,” said Robert Norton, chief commercial officer at SKIMS. “Our partnership with DoorDash gives customers greater flexibility and convenience when shopping SKIMS, making it easier to access the products they want, when they want them.”
SKIMS is currently available on DoorDash from 17 stores across 11 states and Washington, D.C., with nine additional locations expected to join the platform.
The partnership comes as DoorDash continues to expand beyond restaurant delivery into retail categories such as apparel, beauty, toys, books, auto parts, and sporting goods. The company said that tens of thousands of retail stores are now available on its platform, and more than 500,000 retail products are eligible for delivery in under an hour.
“DoorDash was built on one idea: you should be able to get everything you need in your neighborhood, right now,” said Shanna Prevé, chief revenue officer at DoorDash. “And increasingly, that’s not just dinner; it’s what you’re wearing to dinner too.”
SKIMS, co-founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, has been expanding its physical retail footprint as it builds out its apparel and lifestyle assortment.
