MATTHEWS, N.C. — Beth MacDonald has been promoted to vice president, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary, at Family Dollar Stores Inc.
Beth MacDonald has been promoted to vice president, assistant general counsel and assistant secretary, at Family Dollar Stores Inc.
The deep discount store chain said Tuesday that MacDonald, who previously held the title of assistant general counsel, will report to Jim Snyder, senior vice president and general counsel.
MacDonald joined Family Dollar in 2010 as divisional counsel for securities and was promoted to assistant general counsel in April 2011. Before coming to the retailer, she was a partner in the Charlotte, N.C., office of Alston & Bird, where as outside counsel she provided legal advice on corporate and securities law matters to a number of public companies, according to Family Dollar.
