SALISBURY, N.C. – Food Lion continues its momentum of growth with additional new store openings through the end of 2026. The omnichannel grocery retailer began the year with four new store openings and will finish strong with an additional six new locations across the Carolinas and Georgia. This growth will serve as a runway into 2027, as the company prepares to open more new stores within its 10-state footprint. Food Lion’s expansion plans reflect the brand's ongoing commitment to serving more towns and cities with fresh, affordable groceries and a convenient omnichannel shopping experience, whenever or wherever customers choose to shop.
“Each new store is designed to meet our customers’ evolving needs,” said Greg Finchum, President, Food Lion. “The growth we’re experiencing in 2026 creates strong momentum for next year and beyond. Our associates look forward to welcoming neighbors into these new stores and continuing to nourish families with the easy and affordable shopping experience they count on from Food Lion.”
