"Healthy Lifestyles is one of our organization's three key priorities for the youth we serve," said Boys & Girls Clubs chief executive officer Timika Thrasher. "Every day, youth who come to Boys & Girls Clubs receive healthy snacks and meals, and physical fitness time. We also facilitate nutrition education activities for the youth we serve, so we are not only addressing food insecurity in the present but are encouraging them to make a lifelong commitment to good nutrition and healthy habits."

Boys & Girls Clubs of Frederick County has been serving the Frederick community since 2009, providing a safe and positive environment and high-quality programs for 280 youth annually during out-of-school time. The Club offers evidence-based programs such as Power Hour homework help, SMART Girls, Passport to Manhood, and Positive Action. They also offer the encouragement of supportive relationships with peers and adults, high-yield activities, and educational field trips to lay a strong foundation for the long-term success of the community's youth.

The Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting families facing food insecurity across Food Lion's 10-state footprint. Established in 2001, the Foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to feeding local neighbors in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $25 million in grant funding to help nourish communities with fresh food.
