Food Lion launches MVP Savings Spectacular with discounts up to 50%

SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion has launched its new MVP Savings Spectacular, a three-week promotion designed to help shoppers save on groceries and household essentials during the busy summer season.

Running through June 30, the event offers exclusive weekly discounts to members of Food Lion’s MVP loyalty program. The retailer said shoppers can save up to 50% on select products, including pantry staples, snacks, beverages, fresh produce, and household items. The promotion features a mix of Food Lion private-label products and national brands.

“Summer often brings more gatherings, travel and everyday expenses, and we want to help our neighbors save on the items they need most,” said Gene Faller, executive vice president of merchandising at Food Lion. “The MVP Savings Spectacular gives our loyalty members access to weekly deals on groceries and household essentials, making it easier to shop for summer and nourish families while staying on budget.”

New offers will be introduced each week throughout the promotion. Customers must present their MVP loyalty card at checkout to receive discounts. The savings event is available in stores and through Food Lion To Go pickup and delivery.

The promotion comes as grocers continue to emphasize loyalty programs and targeted discounts as consumers remain focused on stretching household budgets amid ongoing economic pressures.
