BENTONVILLE, Ark. — On February 4 and February 5, Walmart will be hosting the latest stop in the Emerson Group’s ongoing The Future of Commerce 2030 series, which kicked off last October in London.

The centerpiece will be a half-day event that will be held in person in the new Sam Walton Hall in Bentonville, and also live-streamed. That event will be kicked off by Doug McMillon, Walmart’s chief executive officer, in conversation with David Pinto, founder of MMR and Chain Drug Review. They will discuss how Sam Walton’s founding philosophy continues to inspire the company’s vision for the future.

This will be followed by presentations and panel discussions with Walmart and CPG senior leaders about the Future of Commerce. Topics will include how to deliver culture at scale, digital-first strategies, retail as a force for good, and how to build partnerships for the future.

For 18 years, the Emerson Group, the leading U.S. health and beauty sales, logistics and marketing company, has hosted free-to-attend events for companies in the consumer health and packaged goods industries. Speakers have included educators such as Scott Galloway of NYU Stern School of Business and Scott Snook of Harvard Business School; such retailers as Walmart, Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, Amazon, Tesco, Boots and Holland & Barrett; and such brands as Unilever, P&G, Haleon and Kenvue.

The Emerson Group is co-hosting the Future of Commerce 2030 series with MMR and Chain Drug Review, and with WSL Strategic Retail, a leader in shopper insights and retail strategy.
