CARLISLE, Pa.– The GIANT Company, known locally as GIANT and MARTIN’S, today announced renovations are now underway at its MARTIN’S stores in Winchester, Va. The stores, located at 1950 S. Pleasant Valley Road and 200 Rivendell Court, will remain open during renovations, which are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
“We hope customers will pardon our dust over the next several months as we work to bring an even better shopping experience to them,” said Marquis Black, S. Pleasant Valley Road store manager. “The entire store team is excited about this remodel, which will put value and freshness front and center for our Winchester customers.”
Both stores’ fresh offerings – produce, bakery, meat and seafood – in addition to the center store aisles and beer and wine areas, will be updated with improved efficiencies for shoppers and an enhanced assortment of products. Understanding the needs of today’s busy customers, the deli and prepared foods departments in both stores will undergo an overhaul to offer more Grab ‘n Go items. In addition, pharmacy customers will soon have a new consultation room for pharmacists to administer immunizations in a more private setting.
Added Chris Brooks, Rivendell Court MARTIN’S store manager, “This store remodel is focused on bringing our customers a refreshed shopping experience – from offering more product variety, including MARTIN’S brand items, to making needed updates across every department.”
Both stores are open daily from 6 a.m. – 11 p.m. The S. Pleasant Valley Road MARTIN’S opened in 1990 and employs approximately 130 team members. The Rivendell Court MARTIN’S opened in 2006 and also employs approximately 130 team members.
For greater shopping convenience during the remodel, Winchester customers are encouraged to try MARTIN’S Direct, an opportunity to order their groceries online at martinsfoods.com for easy curbside pick-up.
