CARLISLE, Pa. – On Friday, June 19, The GIANT Company, known locally as GIANT and MARTIN’S, will celebrate a grand re-opening of its Hatfield, Pa. store located at 1540 Cowpath Road, following several months of major renovations with festivities and product samplings for customers.
“From needed updates to our current departments to providing more product variety and an increased focus on value and freshness, this remodel puts our Hatfield neighbors front and center,” said Leah Marsland, Hatfield GIANT store manager. “We’re excited to offer our customers a refreshed shopping experience combined with the kindness they have come to expect from our store team.”
The store remained open during the remodel, which included new modernized décor and signage inside the store. Other updates included:
- The Hatfield store’s signature fresh departments – produce, bakery, meat and seafood – in addition to the center store aisles have all been updated with improved efficiencies for shoppers and enhanced assortment of products.
- For today’s busy customers, the deli and prepared foods department has undergone a complete overall and now offers more hot and prepared foods and Grab ‘n Go items.
- The store’s beer and wine area has been relocated to the front corner, and pharmacy also got an update with the addition of a pop-out area to administer vaccines in a more private setting.
- GIANT’s signature Wall of Values has also been reimagined, offering one-stop shopping for key sale items from the weekly circular.
As part of the grand re-opening festivities on Friday, June 19, Hatfield customers can enjoy a gift card raffle, giveaways and free cake. A variety of product samplings will take place throughout the fresh departments with vendor partners Cohen, Boar’s Head, Hatfield and Chabaso Bakery. Throughout the day, customers can also enjoy national brand sampling in the center store aisles, including special visits from mascots Chester Cheetah on behalf of Frito-Lay and Herr’s guest Chipper. Also making an appearance at the Hatfield store is the Phillie Phanatic from 9 – 10 a.m.
The Hatfield GIANT, which has served the local community since 2008, is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and employs approximately 200 team members.
