CARLISLE, Pa. – On Oct. 2, The GIANT Company, operating locally as GIANT and MARTIN'S, will celebrate the grand reopenings of its York store at 275 Pauline Drive and its Temple store at 4320 5th St. Highway following extensive renovations completed over several months.
York Store
"For more than 35 years, GIANT has proudly served the grocery needs of the York community at Pauline Drive," said Todd Kinter, store manager. "The team is excited to unveil this completed remodel, which offers improved flow throughout the store, expanded product variety and GIANT's signature focus on value and freshness."
The York location remained open throughout construction. Renovations include:
- Refreshed produce, bakery, meat and seafood, floral and center store departments, featuring improved shopper efficiencies and expanded product assortments.
- A completely redesigned deli and prepared foods area with additional hot foods, prepared meals and Grab 'n Go selections.
- A relocated beer and wine department in the front corner of the store, alongside a newly updated customer service area.
- A fully redesigned pharmacy, including a private consultation room for vaccine administration.
- A reimagined Wall of Values, providing one-stop access to featured weekly circular promotions.
Serving the community since 1990, the York store is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and employs approximately 225 team members.
Temple Store
GIANT will also mark the reopening of its Temple store on Oct. 2 following a comprehensive remodel.
"The Temple store team is excited about what this remodel brings to our customers," said Daniel Colantuono, store manager. "With greater product variety, improved department layouts and an enhanced focus on value and freshness, we're ready to serve shoppers through the busy fall season and beyond."
The Temple store also remained open throughout the renovation process. Improvements include:
- Updated produce, bakery, meat and seafood departments, along with center store aisles, to improve convenience and expand assortment.
- A fully overhauled deli and prepared foods department featuring more hot and prepared meals, including smoked meats, as well as additional Grab 'n Go offerings.
- Refreshed beer and wine and floral departments with updated layouts.
- Expanded workspace and improved parking lot access for GIANT Direct team members to support growing online grocery pickup demand.
- A redesigned Wall of Values showcasing key weekly promotional items in a convenient one-stop location.
The Temple store has served the community since 2008, is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and employs approximately 190 team members.
