CARLISLE, Pa. — The GIANT Company opened a new, 68,000-square-foot supermarket in the South Mall Shopping Center in Allentown, marking a major upgrade for its Salisbury Township customers ahead of the holiday season.
The new store, located at 3300 Lehigh Street, replaced a store and fuel station at 3015 West Emmaus Avenue that closed the evening before the grand opening. The store new store will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and include an expanded range of fresh offerings, prepared foods, and convenience services designed to meet changing shopper needs.

The store, managed by 18-year grocery veteran Mike Ramos, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. on Friday, November 21. The first 200 shoppers received a reusable GIANT shopping bag filled with product samples and special offers.
The new Salisbury Township GIANT features significantly expanded fresh departments, including a market-style produce area with dedicated organic selections, full-service meat and seafood counters, and a service deli offering pre-sliced meats and cheeses. Other highlights include an in-store bakery, floral department, beer and wine section, and full-service pharmacy.
Anew hot food bar features smoked and barbecue meats, a specialty cheese case, fresh sushi prepared by an in-store chef, and a variety of grab-and-go meal and salad options.
To serve on-the-go customers, the store’s new fuel station offers 10 fuel positions — doubling previous capacity — along with expanded GIANT Direct parking for online order pickup. The added spaces are part of GIANT’s broader strategy to grow its e-commerce and curbside convenience offerings across Pennsylvania.
The new Allentown location continues GIANT’s investment in its home state, combining modern amenities and local service to deliver a more convenient and enjoyable shopping experience for Lehigh Valley customers.
