Gold Peak refreshes zero sugar tea with new formula, packaging

The company said the product delivers the real-brewed sweet tea flavor consumers associate with Gold Peak while containing no sugar.

NEW YORK — As demand for lower-sugar beverages continues to rise, Gold Peak is updating its Zero Sugar tea lineup with a reformulated recipe and refreshed packaging designed to reinforce the brand's focus on taste.

The Coca-Cola-owned tea brand said the new and improved Gold Peak Zero Sugar formula is rolling out this month. The company said the product delivers the real-brewed sweet tea flavor consumers associate with Gold Peak while containing no sugar.

The launch comes as beverage manufacturers continue to expand their better-for-you offerings to meet consumer interest in reduced-sugar and sugar-free alternatives without sacrificing taste.

In addition to the reformulated tea, Gold Peak is introducing updated packaging tied to its new "Drink Zero Sugar. Taste Gold." marketing platform. The campaign aims to highlight everyday moments of connection and togetherness, particularly as consumers prepare for the holiday season.

According to the company, the new formula was developed to provide an improved taste experience while maintaining Gold Peak's real-brewed credentials. The tea is brewed from selected tea leaves and moves from brewing to bottling in as little as 24 hours.

The packaging refresh also aligns with Gold Peak's broader "Real Is Gold" brand platform. The company said the updated visual identity is intended to improve shelf visibility while preserving the brand's real-brewed heritage.

The new Gold Peak Zero Sugar tea will be available at more than 1,300 retail locations, including Kroger, Albertsons and Dollar General stores.

The product will be offered in 18.5-ounce, 52-ounce, 59-ounce and 76-ounce bottle sizes.
