WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee and Coca-Cola have partnered to donate $5,000 to the Iowa Sports Foundation, supporting the organization’s youth soccer program and event development initiatives.
On Thursday, representatives from both companies presented the donation. The Iowa Sports Foundation provides sports, recreation, health, and wellness opportunities for Iowans of all abilities.
“This strategic partnership significantly enhances our capacity to deliver high quality sports programming and development opportunities across the state,” said Chuck Long, CEO and executive director of the Iowa Sports Foundation.
Tina Potthoff, senior vice president of communications at Hy-Vee, said the donation aligns with the retailer’s mission to promote healthier lifestyles and expand athletic opportunities for children across Iowa.
Jessica Dawson, senior director of customer marketing at Coca-Cola, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting youth sports development and leadership programs.
The contribution is part of a broader summer initiative in which Hy-Vee and Coca-Cola will make four $5,000 donations to youth sports organizations throughout the Midwest.
