WEST DES MOINES, Iowa  — Grocery retailer Hy-Vee Inc. has opened its newest Hy-Vee Health infusion clinic, located at 1 East Erie Street, Suite 640 in Chicago.

This is the second Hy-Vee Health infusion clinic to open and the first to open in the Chicago area.

The infusion clinic is referral-based and will provide treatments for rheumatology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, neurology, dermatology, oncology and other chronic conditions. The independent, physician-managed clinic is staffed by licensed physicians and nurse practitioners and features six semi-private infusion rooms, offering a comfortable setting for patients receiving specialty treatments.

The clinic accepts insurance from private insurers, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. The clinic is open Mondays through Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon.
“We are proud to join the Chicago medical community as we bring affordable infusion treatments to area patients who are facing chronic, complex conditions,” said Aaron Wiese, president of Hy-Vee, Inc. “In addition to providing a comfortable and convenient experience, our ultimate mission is to improve the overall health outcomes of our patients in this area.”

The company’s first Hy-Vee Health infusion clinic opened earlier this year in West Des Moines, Iowa. Hy-Vee Health is a further extension of Hy-Vee’s operations in specialty health care.
