NEW YORK — Instacart is closing out summer with a nostalgic celebration, teaming up with alt-rock band Third Eye Blind for a one-night-only immersive concert experience at Terminal 5 in New York City on September 4.
The free, first-come, first-served event is the finale of Instacart’s Summer Like It’s 1999 campaign, which has leaned into throwback snacks, sights, and sounds from the late ‘90s. Third Eye Blind, whose hit Semi-Charmed Life soundtracked Instacart’s summer marketing push, will headline with a full set inspired by their late-1990s heyday.

“Adults are craving the carefree summers of their youth, and Instacart has helped bring those vibes home,” said Laura Jones, Chief Marketing Officer at Instacart. “With our ‘Summer Like It’s 1999’ campaign, we delivered the snacks, sights, and prices of the 90s – all in one cart. Now, we’re ending the season with an immersive, one-night-only concert with Third Eye Blind, bringing the campaign to life and celebrating the best of our favorite summertime pastimes.”

Attendees can expect an environment transformed into a 1999-style playground, with neon-lit tunnels, themed cocktails, and more.
- Sip Like It’s 1999: We’re pouring 1999 era cocktails with the electric colors, big flavors, and just-sweet-enough kick that defined the time. Served chilled, mixed loud, and made to keep the night going.
- Rewind Your Style: Give yourself a ’99-style makeover and get your tips frosted by professional stylists, courtesy of Frosted Flakes. Not into getting frosty? Throw on some flair with butterfly clips and enough hair gel to defy gravity.
- Chillax with Slice: Grab a Slice Healthy Soda and kick back in the Slice Lounge – complete with bean bags and vintage Third Eye Blind CDs and posters. Then step into a Slice can-lined fisheye video booth where a warped lens captures your ‘99-style moment of fame. Total throwback energy, no filter needed.
- Munchies to the Max: Grab complimentary ‘99 snacks from a lineup of iconic brands, including Frosted Flakes, Slice Healthy Soda, Capri Sun, Lunchables, Mike and Ike, Ring Pop, Dunkaroos, and more. Whether sweet, salty, tangy, or refreshing these are the flavors that defined a decade – and they’re making a comeback tonight.

Admission is limited to guests 21 and older, and an RSVP is required via the event page. Check-in will be conducted through the Instacart app. Instacart+ members will benefit from a dedicated entry line, and Venmo will be available for purchases throughout the evening.
