Instacart launches Fizz, a group ordering app for party planning

Fizz makes it simple for everyone to pick what they want and pay only for what they add, no complicated bill-splitting required.

San Francisco — Hosting a party just got easier thanks to Fizz, a brand-new group ordering app from Instacart designed to streamline drink and snack delivery for social gatherings. Whether you're throwing a birthday bash, planning a game night, or just hanging out with friends, Fizz makes it simple for everyone to pick what they want and pay only for what they add, no complicated bill-splitting required.

With a flat $5 delivery fee (plus taxes and applicable fees), Fizz allows users 21 and over to start a shared party cart, invite friends via link, and collaborate in real time — even if their friends haven’t downloaded the app. Drinks and snacks are pulled from Instacart’s vast retail network, including stores like Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, and Wegmans, with delivery handled by Instacart’s professional shopper community.

Fizz’s key features include:

  • One shared cart for group ordering
  • Automatic payment splitting — pay only for what you add
  • Real-time cart collaboration via link (no app needed)
  • Fast, scheduled delivery — perfect timing for parties
  • Snack Bucks rewards — earn credits toward snacks when you buy drinks

As part of its launch, Fizz has teamed up with Partiful, the popular party-planning platform, to integrate group ordering into event invites fully. Hosts can now toggle on a Fizz cart when creating an event, allowing guests to browse, add to the order, and see the full cart without leaving the invite page.

Fizz is now available on iOS and Android nationwide. Visit Fizz.com to start planning your next party with fewer trips and more sips.
