Consumers’ “ownership of their health” is a key trend being tapped into by Crossmark, says Jami McDermid, the company’s sales agency president.

“Healthy choices is certainly a key trend that we continue to follow and exploit as we strategize innovation paths and plan/advise our brands,” she said. Crossmark has been working to stay in front of that trend for quite some time, leaning into it and helping brands as they look for expansion opportunities or innovations, as well as helping retailers understand and explore what they could do to be innovative.

“There are opportunities for our brands to look at, and we can help advise them on what consumers are seeing and feeling and addressing as part of their overall health perspective,” she said.

Before joining Crossmark in 2016, McDermid was chief business transformation officer at MillerCoors, where she was the chief architect for the design and implementation of enterprise business processes and systems support to ensure achievement of strategic objectives.

She started at MillerCoors as vice president of commercial development in 2005 before becoming a regional vice president and then vice president of business transformation and commercial lead before becoming business transformation chief in 2014.
