NEW YORK  – J&D Brush Co. whose brands include Wetbrush, Bio Ionic and Ouidad and Goody Products, announced Tuesday that, following the successful carve-out of Goody from Newell and the merger and integration of Goody and JD Beauty, the companies will launch Beauty By Imagination which will serve as the brands’ new parent company. Additionally, the company announced its board of directors has designated Francesca Raminella, chief commercial officer of JDB/Goody, and Gary Dailey, chief financial and chief operations officer of JDB/Goody, to jointly lead BBI.

Ken Brotman, on behalf of the company’s board of directors, said “We are very pleased with the integration that started in March 2019. We believe we have achieved our goal to create a powerful multi-brand diversified haircare, accessory, liquid and tool company uniquely poised to serve the beauty industry and to take BBI to new levels. While we continue to mourn the untimely death of our dear friend and partner Jeffrey Davidson in July, we believe he built a fantastic team and the Board of Directors is confident Francesca and Gary will lead BBI forward and continue Jeffrey’s vision for the Company.”

“I am very pleased with the new name of the combined companies,” said Jeff Rosenzweig, founder-JD Beauty, which was founded 42 years ago and has grown consistently and substantially since its inception. “I look forward to this new phase of its life which I am sure will be exceptional and rewarding for all!”

Raminella and Dailey both served in the senior executive team alongside Davidson, throughout the integration of the Bio Ionic brand, the acquisition of Ouidad and ultimately, the successful sale of JD Beauty to ACON Investments, L.L.C. and merger of Goody in March 2019. Both individuals have been, and continue to be, an integral part of the success of the business, delivering high growth, and sharing the same passion, commitment and vision for the future of the Company.

Through this shared leadership role, Raminella and Dailey will effectively and efficiently work together to lead the Company forward by leveraging each other’s expertise and strengths. Dailey will continue to focus on the global financial and operations aspects of the business, along with potential add-on acquisitions, while Raminella will focus on the global commercial side, including marketing, sales and product development.

“We are thrilled to continue the leadership of BBI,” said Gary and Francesca. “Our company’s mission is to deliver ‘imaginative yet real solutions for a happy and beautiful life’ and we are excited to work with and for our great community of passionate customers, clients, employees and shareholders.”

Beauty By Imagination will officially launch its new corporate branding in October 2019.
