CINCINNATI – The Kroger Co. is celebrating National Nutrition Month 2025 by showcasing how customers can supercharge their meals and snacks with fresh, in-season fruits, vegetables, and simple recipes to enjoy all season long.

Kroger highlights the benefits of seasonal eating by encouraging customers to enjoy produce at its peak of freshness:
- Fruits: Strawberries, Apples, Pineapple, Kiwi, Bananas
- Vegetables: Asparagus, Celery, Peas, Avocados, Broccoli, Carrots, Garlic, Herbs, Onions, Radishes, Turnips, Mushrooms, Rhubarb
- Greens: Lettuce, Kale, Spinach, Collard Greens, Cabbage, Swiss Chard
- Citrus: Lemons, Limes
Kroger's The Fresh Lane blog features recipes that make it easy to incorporate fresh, seasonal ingredients into daily meals:
- Grilled steak strawberry salad: A heart-healthy dish packed with antioxidants, potassium, and vitamin C from fresh strawberries and lettuce. Spinach can be substituted for added folate, iron, and magnesium.
- Baked ziti with mushrooms and mozzarella: A vegetarian-friendly meal featuring mushrooms, which provide vitamin D and immune support, along with garlic for added potassium and amino acids.
- Green pea hummus: A fresh, plant-based dip using peas for protein, fiber, and magnesium, enhanced with a splash of vitamin C-rich lemon juice and served with vitamin A-packed carrots.
